The proof marks are all Belgian, and the serial numbers (full) are stamped on the barrel, frame and slide. I don't know if the pistol was manufactured/issued at the same time, but the serial number isn't far out of bed with the 1935 date, as far as I can tell from reading this thread. Based on my limited German, and a bit of help from the internet, I believe this is a holster issued to a Railway Protection Officer (literal translation) working for the Essen Division (Ruhr - near Dusseldorf) of the German national railroad. The holster is very interesting (to me anyway). S/N 892238 - 2nd Style safety, Flanged trigger, including holster I picked up an interesting rig yesterday that I thought I would share.
